We currently have three females available born January 14th, 2025. They will be ready for their new homes at the end of April!
Welcome!
We are a small Maine Coon Cattery, who prioritizes health and socialization for each and every kitten that is raised here. Our Kings and Queens are apart of our family, therefore they are in our home and are very well socialized with kids and other animals, such as dogs.
Our mission at Zenith Maine Coons is to ensure that we are breeding healthy, beautiful Maine Coons while working to improve the breed itself. We pay extremely close attention to the pedigrees, genetics, and overall temperaments of our Kings and Queens before putting them in our breeding program.
Healthy Maine Coons are priority in our cattery, and we want guarantee that the kitten you receive from us is healthy, and has a beautiful temperament to match.
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Our kittens do not leave our program until they are 14-16 weeks of age. This allows us to do their personality assessment, as well as necessary vaccines and make sure they are well socialized before they leave. We also spay/neuter all kittens at 12 weeks of age for families that prefer us to do this process. You will receive weekly pictures as well as videos from us to update you on the growth of your new kitten.
We have a kitten application that we have people fill out if they are interested in one of our little babes. If you are interested in a kitten from a specific match in our cattery, please message me directly so I can provide you more information on when we have planned breedings and send you the application. Mother Nature dictates everything so please be mindful of that!
Right now we do not allow random visits to our cattery for the simple fact that new people can cause stress on our cats, but most importantly we want to ensure that we are not bringing in illnesses or other ailments into our cattery. We will gladly provide photos and videos at your request of our cattery. If you are picking up a kitten, a scheduled time must be designated to do so.
I will not ship our kittens UNLESS it is via cabin because it can be very stressful on them if they travel cargo. Otherwise, if you are flying to pick up your kitten, our closest airport is MCI in Kansas City. Please keep in mind if this is the route you take, there is a pet fee for any airline you use. ALWAYS call ahead of time and get that on your travel itinerary or you may not be able to fly with your fur baby home on that flight back.
I will travel to MCI airport at no charge to you! Buyers are more than welcome to meet me in Horton, KS for pickup otherwise.
We currently feed our adults a strictly balanced raw diet, however all kittens will get that along with Stella and Chewy kitten blend dry. I understand that not all pet families can or want to feed a raw diet, so that is why we also acclimate the kittens to Stella and Chewy. This allows it to be an easier transition for them.
Firstly all of our cats get a full URI/PCR test done when they come to us to check for any illnesses. We also run a fecal at this time and test for FIV/FeLV. All cats are subject to quarantine, we always do 4 weeks for any imports for precautionary measures. We do testing through Optimal Selection, but this is not always definitive so we take it a step further, especially for HCM since it is extremely prevalent in Maine Coons. We have OFA certified echos on our Kings and Queens after they turn a year old and they are done yearly. Along with the echos since Maine Coons are like the Great Danes in the cat world, we get hip grading done on the adults.
